Once again, the stunning Severn Valley Railway has won the award which recognises businesses that get excellent tourist reviews.
The accolade sees the Severn Valley Railway (SVR) amongst the top 10% of visitor attractions throughout the world. This information is based on feedback left by visitors on the hugely popular global travel website TripAdvisor.
The SVR has seen over 300 5 star reviews throughout the past year increasing its ranking in the Kidderminster, Worcestershire and West Midlands group.
Other favourite TripAdvisor hot spots on the SVR line and receiving the award jointly are The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highly, which houses a collection of full-sized steam locomotives and The King & Castle Pub in Kidderminster, which is very popular with SVR visitors.
Winning the award has arrived at just the right time as Severn Valley Railway announce the rest of its 2021 season which include their excellent Autumn Diesel Gala, Halloween services and also a variety of Christmas services one of which is the Enchanted Express which features narration by Dame Julie Walters.
Severn Valley Railway heritage railway operates both passenger steam and diesel locomotives along a scenic 16-mile track that runs from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster and follows the River Severn for a majority of the route.
