Steam locomotive to depart Colchester this Saturday

Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower will be on the mainline again this Saturday, as it hauls a special railtour for the EUR 175.

Three tours will be run by Steam Dreams on Saturday 14th August 2021.

The first trip of the day will depart Colchester at 11:10 and will pass through Manningtree (11:20), Ipswich (11:34), Stowmarket (11:57) and Bury St Edmunds (12:19).

The train will then depart Bury St Edmunds for Colchester at 12:40 and will head to Colchester via Stowmarket (13:04), Ipswich (13:19), Manningtree (13:34) and Colchester at 13:47.

The second trip will depart Colchester at 14:10 and head once again through Manningtree (14:20), Ipswich (14:32) and Stowmarket (14:45) before arriving into Bury St Edmunds at 15:08. Heading back to Colchester, the tour will pass through Stowmarket (16:04), Ipswich (16:19) and Colchester at 16:54.

61306’s final trip of the day will be from Colchester to Norwich. Departing Colchester at 18:23, the train will pass through Manningtree (18:33), Ipswich (18:45), Stowmarket (19:02), Diss (19:20) and Norwich at 19:47.

Mayflower will then depart Norwich at 20:15 and will pass through Diss (20:42), Stowmarket (20:59), Ipswich (21:44) and Colchester at 22:11.
