Steam locomotive 35028 Clan Line to visit Sherbourne this Wednesday

Steam locomotive 35028 Clan Line will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in London and Sherborne on Wednesday 18th August 2021.

The Merchant Navy locomotive is on a special railtour tomorrow. 35028 is hauling ‘The John Farrow Salute’ railtour on Wednesday.

The steam locomotive will depart London Victoria at approximately 08:46 am.

The railtour will then head for Sherborne, where it will steam through Clapham Junction (09:02), Brentford (09:16), Feltham (09:25), Staines (09:33), Woking (10:04), Andover (10:51), Salisbury (11:09), Gillingham (12:42), Templecombe (13:03) and Sherborne at 13:14.

After a few hours in Sherborne, 35028 Clan Line will depart at 16:55; it will then steam through Templecombe (17:03), Gillingham (17:13), Salisbury (18:02), Basingstoke (19:20), Woking (19:43), Virginia Water (20:04), Staines (20:16), Feltham (20:26), Hounslow (20:35), Clapham Junction (21:00), and London Victoria at 21:15.
