Tyne and Wear Metro merchandise now available to purchase online

The has announced that their online shop is now open and taking orders.

By popular demand, Tyne and Wear Metro decided to launch an online shop, offering a variety of merchandise that can now be viewed here. Alternatively, you can head to Metro's website, click the “Metro” tab, followed by the “More” tab and clicking Metro Merchandise.

Items that can be found on the Metro Merchandise website include:

  1. Commemorative items to celebrate Metro's 40th Anniversary, costing under £10
  2. Tea towels featuring the route map operated by Metro
  3. Metal tins
  4. Branded pens and pencils
  5. Coasters
  6. Metal keyrings
  7. High-quality postcards (10 per pack each featuring a different photo)
  8. Metro branded face masks as worn by staff with two designs to chose from and machine washable

Anyone interested or wishing to purchase any items are advised to place orders sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment if the limited stocks run out.

Head of Marketing, Communication and Information at , Kerry Leng, said: “We had a lot of support for our 40th-anniversary celebrations last year, even though we couldn't do everything we wanted to due to the pandemic. The old photographs are always popular and seeing our heritage train out on the network is a real highlight for some of our customers.

“We're delighted that we can now offer Metro customers and fans the opportunity to own a small piece of Metro memorabilia. Everything is affordably priced, great quality, and of course, features our iconic brand.”
