In a bid to promote the county of Cambridgeshire, Greater Anglia are offering special reduced discounts of up to 70% on train travel and walk-up on the day entry prices to attractions in the county this May.
The vast array of discounts apply to Ranger and Advanced tickets along with the Family & Friends Railcard, meaning passengers have the chance to save a great deal of money by booking earlier in advance.
While the 2FOR1 entry for attractions across the whole county will also be available give a little extra discount to aid more on savings.
Travelling by train is not only greener, but it also saves paying for additional fuel and paying to park your car at major tourist destinations across the county.

Ely's Eel Festival Weekend 2024
The first event is this May Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 4th to Monday 6th May. The Eel day festival is happening in the cathedral town of Ely on Saturday with a craft drink festival taking place on the Sunday and Monday.
The city of Ely is named after the eel which can be found in the local waterways.
The festivities start with a parade through the streets before an eel throwing competition takes place. Along with this there will be other events going on across the city to celebrate the creature.

WWII Weekend, Audley End House
Also taking place this Bank Holiday is the 1940s weekend at Audley End House on the Saturday and Sunday.
The event is highly entertaining, with a lot of things to see and do, including the witnessing of a simulated ground battle between allied and German forces which include heritage vehicles from the period with mock explosions.
There will also be chances to see first hand what war time life was like in the 40s with the option to take part in a sergeant's assault course. This event is ticketed, those wishing to attend should visit the English Heritage website.
Cambridge Beer Festival
Another advantage with train travel is you can enjoy more of the local tipples without having to drive home.
The Cambridge Beer Festival is celebrating its 50th year and will run from Monday 20th to Saturday 25th May, offering 5 days to sample the huge ales on offer from a variety of brewing companies.
This event is to be held at Jesus Green in the county town of Cambridge.
