CANCELLED: Steam locomotive 7029 Clun Castle to go on test tomorrow!

Test runs are cancelled, the second run is now operating with 47773 Queens Mother

GWR ‘Castle’ No. 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ will be on the mainline this Tuesday, 27th July 2021 as it hauls a duo of test runs.

The Castle will be heading from Tyseley Steam Trust to Stratford upon Avon

The train will Tyseley at 09:45, and will then pass through Spring Road (10:05), Yardley Wood (10:09), Whitlocks End  (10:13), Wood End (10:23), Henley-in-Arden (10:34), and Stratford upon Avon at 10:53. From here, the train will pass through Stratford Parkway (12:14), Claverdon (12:26), Dorridge (12:46), Solihull (12:51), Acocks Green (12:55) and Tyseley Steam Trust at 13:13.

The second test run will depart Tyseley Steam Trust at 14:35 and will pass through Hall Green (14:58), Shirley (15:03), Whitlocks End (15:05), Danzey (15:20), Henley-in-Arden (15:25), Wootton Wawen (15:32) Wilmcote (15:44) and Stratford-upon-Avon at 15:51. From Stratford, the steam locomotive will go on to pass through Wilmcote (16:59), Bearley (17:03), Lapworth (17:18), Dorridge (17:21), Solihull (17:26), Olton (17:29) and Tyseley Steam Trust at 17:49.

  • Nice to see this Old oak common loco brought to life again I am cleaned it many times in my youth and fired it once it seemed like a different time ago
