The Education Business Partnership (EBP) Imp Educational Trail has announced that (EMR) is funding two imps.

Taking design inspiration from the stone imp figures featured on Cathedral, the city's symbol, imp sculptures are being created and placed around Lincoln, with The Education Programme teaming up with Lincoln Imp Trail to help produce some of the 30 imps.

In Partnership with two schools based in Lincolnshire, EMR has sponsored two imps, these being:

  1. Lincoln Christ Hospital School Year 10 pupils – following an educational take from EMR on rail safety, Year 10 pupils decided to base their imp around rail safety
  2. De Aston School in Market Rasen – Having the theme of Steam Punk, three students' was chosen from a competition to feature on the imp, which has been named Edward Michael Rodgers

Both imps will go on display around Lincoln from Saturday 3rd of July 2021, the launch day of the project.

Kaye Robinson, Community Ambassador for EMR, took the educational Imps along to Lincoln station earlier this month to showcase them to passengers , she said: “‘It has been really great working with the local schools in Lincoln and Market Rasen, the designs they have come up with are fantastic and I can't wait to see them in the trail this summer.

“Being able to teach the students about rail safety is of vital importance and I love how they have adapted their learning to an Imp.”

Head of Commercial Services at The Education Business Partnership Matthew McKeown said: “We are delighted to be the education partner for the Lincoln IMP Trail and have been thrilled to work with so many Lincolnshire schools on this unique project celebrating our city's mischievous mascot.”
