Clubbing fans heading to the Stereofunk festival at Chatelherault, Lanarkshire will be able to benefit from extra seats and carriages on trains heading through the local area.
Many people dub the Stereofunk festival as the ‘First festival of the summer'. It started in 2005 and has become a popular event in the Scottish summer calendar.
It is held in Chatelherault country park among the idyllic settings of the 18th century hunting lodge, and the venue is only a 12-minute walk from the station.
The line up of bands at years music festival include Vengaboys, The KLF, and George Bowie, a well known and popular Scottish DJ.
To aid festival goers on Saturday 4th May, ScotRail has ensured that trains will be longer on services heading via Chatelherault throughout the day, taking passengers to and from the event.
Additionally, an extra late night service has been added to the timetable for that evening. The train is scheduled to depart from Chatelherault station for Glasgow at 23:08, just before the last train of the day at 23:15.
