The busiest Station in Scotland, , is helping football fans get to Hampden Park throughout , which kicked off yesterday for Scotland.

Central on the 18th, 22nd, and 29th of June will be busy with the football fans wanting a train to Hampden Park for the matches.

Fans must have a valid match ticket to board special trains to Hampden Park and arrive in plenty of time for their journey. They also need valid ticket and seat reservation for the journey.

Everyone travelling on trains south for the Scotland-England match must remember that the cross-border trains will be busier than normal.

On the days of the matches, there will be more staff to help out with the additional crowds in the station.

Due to Covid-19 all the touch-points like handrails, door handles and lift buttons are being cleaned throughout the day using anti-viral cleaning agents.

Drew Burns, station manager for Glasgow Central, said: “Everyone is excited to have football fans back at matches and to see Scotland compete in a major tournament for the first time in two decades.

“We're ready to help welcome Euro 2020 fans into Glasgow Central, but we also need fans to play their part in keeping the station operating smoothly on match days.

“We're urging fans to plan their journeys in advance and only arrive at Glasgow Central if they have a valid ticket for the Hampden matches. Cross-border services will also be much busier than usual, and fans should book their seat in advance.”
