has posted an update on the trams movements and exciting plans for the future.

Cardiff Horsecar No.21

Following discussions, the decision has been made to not renew the loan agreement for Cardiff Horsecar No.21.

Being a static display for the majority of its 12 year stay at Crich since 2009, No.21 was loaded onto a lorry and returned back to its owners, the National Museum of Wales, based at their Cardiff centre on Friday 18th June 2021.

Although No.21 will be missed, its departure has freed up space for restoration projects to take place in the not too distant future.

North Metropolitan Tramways Company Horse Tramcar No.184

One of the upcoming projects is to fully restore Horse Tramcar No.184, built for the North Metropolitan Tramways Company.

No. 184 was purchased by the Tramway Museum Society in 1979, being stored ever since until the time came for restoration.

A second tramcar is needed to complete the project. The London County Council Tramways Trust are providing funds towards the 184 project. More information on the project can be found here.
