Train operator GWR is looking to create a virtual #GWRLoveTrain by getting people to share their romantic messages of love online.
Lockdown will make this Valentine’s Day more difficult for sharing messages of love and GWR are hoping their love train will make this year something different.
GWR’s social media team will look at the messages and post-romantic anecdotes which will be shared with its 800,000 followers.
If you are interested in delivering a romantic message on the #GWRLoveTrain you should email gwrsocialmedia@gwr.com no later than Wednesday 10 February.
You can listen to Train Manager David Shelley’s onboard #GWRLoveTrain announcement below.
GWR’s Head of Communications Dan Panes said: “Lockdown is going to make some of the more imaginative St Valentine’s Day gestures a little difficult this year. In the past our trains, stations and romantic destinations have proved popular places to propose.”
“That’s not going to be possible this year, so if you love trains almost as much as your other half, why not use our virtual #GWRLoveTrain as a platform to tell someone just how much you love them?”

Did the GWR just make a JoJo reference?
What about other train operators to do the same thing as what GWR are doing for Valentines Day.
LNER, Avanti West Coast, Greater Anglia, Northern, TfW, SWR, Transpennine Express, ScotRail, Govia Thameslink Railway and other train operators could do the same thing for Valentine’s Day.
