Crewe Heritage Trust, based at Crewe Heritage Centre, has announced that arrangements have been made between themselves and Locomotive Services Ltd will see a cosmetic overhaul of British Railways Class 47 No.47192 (D1842).
Move to Crewe Diesel Depot
Back on Friday 29th January, 47192 was moved to Locomotive Services Ltd's Crewe Diesel Depot, where work on repairing the exterior bodywork and a full repaint.
On the same day, the Centre took delivery of two ex-British Rail ‘Pretendolino' coaches, numbered 11007 & 12011. The Crewe Diesel Group has acquired these for preservation.
