Update @10:30 11th December

We have heard that although this was posted as cancelled on the Clan Line social media page, this tour may run after all.

If/when more information becomes available, we will update this news article.

Due to Coronavirus guidelines, Belmond has taken the decision to cancel this weekend’s Belmond British Pullman on Saturday, 12th December 2020.

The train was due to be hauled by SR Merchant Navy No. 35028 ‘Clan Line’.

Steam locomotive 35028 Clan Line was set to run from London Victoria towards Princes Risborough and the final destination of Oxford Parkway.

The Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society said: “Whilst we are all very sad, we must follow and keep in accordance with the current guidelines and protect those who are vulnerable to COVID-19.”

However, this does mean that the locomotive is now out of action until the 2021 season starts.

The last time 35028 Clan Line ran was in February and hasn’t run since due to the various coronavirus restrictions.

The MNLPS continued to say “Thank you for all your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2021.”

If you would like to donate towards to upkeep and running of 35028 Clan Line, please take a look at the official website for 35028 Clan Line.
