Steam Dreams has revealed to RailAdvent that they have unfortunately had to cancel their upcoming Christmas tours.
They have told RailAdvent that following the current lockdown restrictions and uncertainty regarding the lockdown, they have decided to cancel the December programme of tours.
Steam Dreams was set to run a range of Christmas dining services as well as a number of Santa Specials.
The locomotive for these tours was planned to be Ex-LNER B1 No. 61306 Mayflower.
David Buck, Owner of Steam Dreams, told RailAdvent: ‘We are seeing an appetite for travel in 2021 and have had a very positive response to our new programme which has recently been launched. Everyone is hopeful of better days ahead and I am delighted to give them something to look forward to with our fabulous selection of trips and holidays.'
Steam Dreams told RailAdvent “Following the current restrictions and the uncertainty in the proceeding weeks we have made the decision to cancel our programme of trips in December. Whilst it is regretful, the health and safety of our passengers, staff and volunteers are of paramount importance to us and always at the forefront of our minds. All passengers affected by this have all been contacted and offered alternative options.”
