Steam locomotive 45562 Alberta to pass through Settle this Thursday

45562 Alberta will be on the mainline this Thursday, 29th September 2020, as it hauls a special railtour.

The Jubilee will be hauling The Pendle Dalesman from Hellfield to Carnforth via the S&C.

Departing Chesterfield behind a diesel locomotive at 06:31, the train will pass through Sheffield (06:47), Swinton (07:05), Moorthorpe (07:16), Wakefield Kirkgate (07:49), Brighouse (08:23), Hebden Bridge (09:08), Burnley Manchester Road (09:30), Accrington (09:50), Blackburn (09:59), Clitheroe (10:27) and Hellifield at 10:47.

Here Alberta is added to the train, departing Hellifield at 11:15, the locomotive will pass through Horton-in-Ribblesdale (11:30), Ribblehead (11:39), Appleby (12:15), Lazonby & Kirkoswald (12:55), Penrith North Lakes (14:35), Oxenholme Lake District (15:10), Carnforth DUGL (15:30 – 45562 taken off here, replaced by diesel), Lancaster (16:18), Preston (17:08), Blackburn (17:26), Accrington (17:39), Hebden Bridge (18:18), Brighouse (18:36), Wakefield Kirkgate (19:00), Moorthorpe (19:46), Swinton (19:56), Sheffield (20:15) and Chesterfield at 20:43.
