Steam locomotive 34046 Braunton to visit Eastbourne this Thursday

Steam locomotive No.34046 Braunton will be back in steam on the mainline and will be passing through Tonbridge and Hastings on Thursday 10th September 2020 on its way to Eastbourne.

The West Country Class locomotive is on a railtour with 34046 hauling a tour from London Victoria to Eastbourne.

The locomotive will depart London Victoria at 10:20 and will then pass through Clapham Junction (10:36), Streatham Common (10:45), Purley (11:08), Redhill (11:21), Tonbridge (11:46), Tunbridge Wells (12:03), Stonegate (12:15), Battle (12:31) and Hastings at 12:46.

Departing Hastings at 14:19, the tour will proceed to Eastbourne diesel hauled, with 34046 Braunton on the rear of the train. The tour will pass through Bexhill (14:29), Normans Bay (14:34), Hampden Park (14:49) and Eastbourne at 14:54.

After a break in Eastbourne, 34046 Braunton will depart at 16:53. From here, it will pass through Hampden Park (16:59), Normans Bay (17:12), Bexhill (17:23), Hastings (17:36), Ore (18:05), Rye (18:23), Ashford International (18:50), Staplehurst (19:06), Paddock Wood (19:16), Tonbridge (19:37), Petts Wood (20:07), Bromley South (20:12), Catford (20:20), Peckham Rye (20:26), Brixton (20:38), Wandsworth Road (20:40) and London Victoria at 20:46.
