A four-part TV series on Channel 5 begins tonight and goes behind the scenes with Great Western Railway and Network Rail at London Paddington.
The series, Paddington: A Year on the Tracks, starts tonight at 9 pm and was filmed prior to coronavirus crisis.
The show also shows unseen footage from the last series of Paddington 24/7.
Episodes of the TV series Paddington 24/7 averaged two million viewers an episode.
Mustaq Haji, Network Rail's station manager at London Paddington, said: “The show goes behind the scenes of day to day life at Paddington station and all the challenges we face in keeping services and passengers moving. One of our main focuses is ensuring the safety of passengers and staff using the railway and when we are faced with certain challenges we need to act quickly as you will see throughout the documentary.”
The first episode of Paddington: A Year on the Tracks will air on Thursday 14 May on Channel 5 at 9 pm, episodes will then be shown every week.

I’ve watched these series on & off for years and never failed to notice how clean and modern most of the trains seem to be by comparison to the many dirty, disgusting & obsolete trains we have to travel on in the North-West. Does the series try to show only ‘nice-clean’ and modern trains for the benefit of the programme or is this the reality compared to what we sometimes have to travel on up North.
Can anyone explain the lack of diversity in the control room? Criteria for employment in this department? Closed shop?

From the first episode I have seen there is little new footage. New narrator and the
odd new shot in the Network Rail control room. Not really worth watching if you
have seen the previous series.
Matt try reading the story before getting into a rant and making a fool of yourself, Michael Holden clearly states that there is unseen footage from the previous showing therefore contrary to your statement there is something new.
This series is definitely a repeat!

This is not a new series its a repeat of paddington 24/7 ive seen this before theres nothing new about it
