Staff at are not letting the Coronavirus pandemic get in the way of charity fundraising efforts.

Groups of employees across the country are continuing to raise money for the charity partner, MND Scotland, as well as for NHS charities and food banks.

A team of people from ScotRail's head office in Glasgow are attempting to run and cycle the length of Scotland's Railway and back in aid of MND Scotland and NHS Charities.

Organised by Nicola Dawson, ScotRail Audit, Risk and Compliance Manager, Nic's Noon Runners will attempt the feat by running in their gardens and using home exercise machines.

ScotRail train drivers at Bathgate depot all chipped in to raise more than £600.

Hospitals across the West of Scotland have also benefited from donations from ScotRail staff.

What did the officials say?

James Ledgerwood, ScotRail Head of Economic Development and Communities, said:

“It's absolutely fantastic to see that our people continue to do their bit for charity and the communities we serve, despite these unusual and challenging times.

“Whether they're running laps around their garden or collecting donations of vital supplies, these selfless acts are ensuring that help is provided to the people that need it most.”
