The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has announced that steam locomotive Battle of Britain class No. 34072 “257 Squadron” will be visiting them for their Cotswold Festival of Steam.
The announcement of the Battle of Britain is subject to a final contract.
257 Squadron visits the Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway thanks to Southern Locomotives Ltd and the Swanage Railway.
This is the first visit away from the Swanage Railway since her overhaul was completed.
257 Squadron follows previously announced Sentinel no. 7109 Joyce from the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway.
Advance tickets for the Cotswold Festival of Steam, which will be held on the 23rd, 24th and 25th May 2020, are now available from www.gwsr.com
