Grand Central is reminding their passengers that none of its trains will run to or from King's Cross as work on the East Coast Upgrade continues.

London King's Cross will be closed from 29th February – 1st March 2020 and the train operator will not be running any trains on these dates.

The East Coast upgrade is a multi-million-pound investment which is set to improve infrastructure at London King's Cross.

This work will see half a mile of track and signalling equipment re-laid to improve capacity and reliability. At the same time, the investment will see two new lines created by reopening a disused tunnel on the approach to London King's Cross.

There will be no trains in or out of London King's Cross on Saturday 29th February and Sunday 1st March.

services also affected include:

  • Friday 28th February 2020
    • The 17.30 Sunderland to London King's Cross service will not run. All other services will run as normal.
  • Monday 2nd March 2020
    • The 8:27 London King's Cross to Sunderland service will not run. All other services will run as normal.
