It has been confirmed that Ex-LNER ‘A4’ No. 60009 Union of South Africa has again broken down on its way to Southall.

The A4 Pacific was moving today from Rugby to Southall today after a hot bearing was found yesterday.

Here is a link to yesterdays article detailing what we knew – click here for more information.

Unfortunately, the fix completed overnight has not worked and this bearing is again causing problems.

The locomotive is currently sat just north of Wolverton awaiting rescue.

This does now though, however, means it cant haul tomorrows tour to Shrewsbury.

We will update you as soon as possible

We are sorry if you have gone out to see 60009 today 🙁
