Rail Week 2019 brought a special opportunity for Mini Police from Somerset Bridge Primary School in Bridgwater to travel by train to Bristol Temple Meads station and meet British Transport Police (BTP) Officers.

They then found out how the BTP look after the rail network and strive to get everyone home safely, securely and on time.

Mini Police groups include children age between nine and 11 years who take part in activities which build confidence and positive relationships with local police.

During the visit, 20 children were treated to a talk by PC Neil Spring and Sgt James Lynch along with a tour of Bristol Temple Meads station.

Rail Week is a dedicated week of activity which aims to promote rail-related roles through a series of events, visits and talks for young people.
