More trains for Take That concert from Greater Anglia

Greater Anglia is now going to be running extra trains and using additional carriages in order to help people and customers travel to Norwich for the Take That concert being held at Carrow Road later during this month.

On Thursday 30th May 2019, additional trains will be running, and the last train times have been revised in order for them to match alongside with the end of the concert.

is now warning the passengers that it is still very likely that there will be large queues and very busy trains during this time period, this is because of the expected amounts of people travelling for the concert. They state that passengers should make sure that they allow themselves more time for their journeys.

In order to avoid large amounts of queueing to buy tickets, passengers have been advised to get their tickets in advance either online or via the Greater Anglia app that is available on smartphones. It is also said that this will reduce the waiting times of customers at the station. To save money, groups of three or more people can travel using Groupsave this will enable a good amount of money saving on the travel.

The last planned services are:

  • 22:50 Norwich to Lowestoft (retimed from 22:40) Calling at Brundall, Cantley, Reedham, Haddiscoe, Somerleyton, Oulton Broad South and Lowestoft
  • 22:52 Norwich to Cambridge (retimed from 22:40) Calling at Wymondham, Attleborough, Thetford, Brandon, Ely, Cambridge North and Cambridge>
  • 23:05 Norwich to Sheringham (retimed from 22:45) calling all stations
  • 23:10 Norwich to Great Yarmouth (retimed from 23:00) Calling at Brundall, Lingwood, Acle and Great Yarmouth
  • 23:05 Norwich to Ipswich Calling at Diss, Stowmarket and Ipswich
What did the officials say?

James Reeve, Greater Anglia's Area Customer Service Manager, said:

“We've increased the frequency and length of trains where possible and practical, however we are still expecting services to be very busy. We will do as much as we can to help people travel and there will also be extra staff on hand to provide help and information.”

  • Is Gary Barlow and his band mates love Norwich. Which is why they want to host their gig again in Norwich. I think Norwich does appreciate having them.
