Where and when to see steam locomotive 1264, 44871 and 35018 in Carlisle this Friday

LNER B1 1264 will be in Cumbria and North Yorkshire this Friday with 44871 heading back to Lancashire.

35018 will be heading in the opposite direction to 44871 heading North from Carnforth Steamtown.

The GB12 tour which has featured 6233, 44871, 60009 with 53808 & 7828 working the tour to Minehead and return on the West Somerset Railway.

During Thursday, 1264 has been double heading with Ian Riley’s Stanier ‘Black Five’ 44871 from Edinburgh to Stranraer.

On Friday, the pair will head down to Carlisle with 44871 on the tour. At Carlisle, the pair will give way for Merchant Navy 35018 ‘British India Line’. She will take the tour down the Settle & Carlisle line then via Woodlesford and Castleford as she makes her way to York then on to Scarborough. At Carlisle, 1264 and 44871 will head different ways home with 44871 returning south to Carnforth with 1264 heading back to the NYMR.

44871 will leave Carlisle station at 13:18, arriving back to Carnforth Steamtown at 16:47.

1264 will leave Carlisle station at 14:20, arriving back to Grosmont at 20:24.
