Three steam locomotives to take charge of Great Britain tour

Three two steam locomotives will be in charge of the Great Britain tour this coming Friday.

As the tour heads south after a few days over the border in Scotland, B1 No.1264, Black 5 No.44871 and Merchant Navy No.35018 British India Line will take charge of the next stage.

Departing Ayr at 08:16, B1 1264 and Black 5 No.44871 take charge of the train and will pass through New Cumnock (09:59), Dumfries (10:43), Gretna Green (11:10) and Carlisle at 11:23.

Here, Merchant Navy No.35018 British India Line will take over the train. Departing at 12:29, the train will head via Appleby (13:13), Dent (14:04), Settle (14:32), Hellifield (14:41), Keighley (15:40), Shipley (15:14), Woodlesford (16:33), Church Fenton (17:26), York (17:48), Malton (18:29), Seamer (18:52) and Scarborough at 19:02.
