As part of the upcoming timetable change, TransPennine Express (TPE) say that they are continuing to focus on enhancing the reliability of services for customers.
TPE says that they will build on the changes made back in December 2018, which led to a drastic improvement in the reliability of train operators across the country.
Additional adjustments are to come into effect from Sunday 19th May; TPE is advising customers to plan ahead, and remember to check their journey before they travel.
As of Sunday 19th May, TPE will be updating their bicycle reservations policy, allowing cyclists to book space up to ten minutes before travelling from their desired station, using WhatsApp and various other social media platforms. TPE says those with folding bikes will still be able to travel without reservations.
Over the next 12 months, TPE are set to begin the operation of their brand new Nova trains as part of a £500 million investment in improving rail services across the North.

“At the end of last year we made some changes that have significantly improved performance and made our services much more reliable.
“This May, we are going to take the opportunity to make additional refinements to our plans that build on the improvements already made.”
