Lincolnshire and Humberside trains to be disrupted

New track to be laid over the weekend

On Saturday 20 April and Sunday 21 April, engineers will lay new track between and , which will cause to train services in the area.

Network Rail workers will upgrade track between and , in Humberside.

The work will make train journeys more reliable and smoother in the future, but will disrupt the plans of passengers travelling with between Lime Street and Cleethorpes, and passengers travelling with , TransPennine Express LNER and in Humberside.

Buses will replace trains between Scunthorpe and Cleethorpes, between and Hull (for Hull Trains passengers), and between and Hull (for TransPennine Express passengers). The buses will operate between Selby, , and to Hull.

Over the weekend, LNER services to and from Hull will start and terminate at Doncaster, with rail replacement coaches running between Doncaster, Selby, Brough and Hull.

Northern services will start and terminate at Selby for passengers travelling to and from and , and at Goole for passengers travelling from to Hull.

Trains from and will terminate at Beverley.

“Our teams will be working around the clock over this weekend to make vital upgrades to different parts of the network. The work will improve the journeys of passengers, delivering a more reliable and smoother railway.
