The Swanage Railway has announced that the South Western Railway service from Salisbury to Corfe Castle on Saturday 1st September 2018 is cancelled.

The reason for the train cancellation is due to strike action being taken out by the RMT Union on the network.

Swanage have apologized for the cancellation and disappointment caused by the cancellation.

However, the will be operating between Corfe Castle and Nordon as originally timetabled.

Other train services on the network will also be subject to change or cancellation – we will be publishing an article on this soon.

  • Maybe that’s why SWR had to cancel the Corfe Castle service because of strikes that are to take place. But hopefully services will be back to normal when the strikes are over.
