ScotRail has announced that fewer than 0.1% of trains missed a stop in the four weeks to 23rd June 2018,

Only 52 of 58,000 services missed a scheduled stop, the lowest ever figure since 2009.

The record for the lowest rate was achieved by last month, but have smashed their own record this month.

Across Scotland, 88.7% of trains met the industry standard, Public Performance Measure, and arrived within 4 minutes and 59 seconds of their scheduled time.

This means that ScotRail is still Britain's best performing large rail operator.

What did the officials say?

ScotRail Alliance Head of Customer Experience Graham Heald said:

“These figures show that we're delivering on our pledge to suspend the use of skip stopping unless as an absolute last resort.

“Not only that, but we've achieved this while remaining the best performing large operator in Britain. We're working hard to implement our performance improvement plan and bring our customers the service they deserve.”
