Greater Anglia has announced that customer information is being improved across their region with the installation of better Customer Information Screens.

More than 1,000 new screens will be installed by the train operating company across 's 133 stations – including ones that haven't had them before such as Beccles, Brundall Gardens, Elmswell, Gunton, Lakenheath, Oulton Broad South, Spooner Row and Whittlesea.

The screens will display running information in a clear and easy to read format and will be much more informative when trains are delayed and will allow Greater Anglia's Control Room to display custom messages to keep passengers informed.

The work to install the screens has begun and work is already underway at Diss, Great Bentley, Billericay, Southend Victoria, and Witham.

Inconvenience is expected to be minimal and platforms will still be accessible whilst the work takes place.

What did the officials say?

Simone Bailey, Greater Anglia's Asset Management Director, said:

“We have been focusing our efforts on improving information provision for our customers – especially during disruption – and these new screens demonstrate our commitment to providing up-to-date information, in a clear, user-friendly format, which we know is a high priority for our customers.”
