We find ourselves at Hebden Bridge for a very special RailTour that marks the end of the HSTs life on Rail services from 2018.

On Sunday 17th December, Grand Central Rail ran a special railtour to celebrate their stock of Class 43 ‘HSts' coming to the end of their lifespan, before being handed over to East Midlands Trains in 2018.

Here we see 43423 ‘Platform 5' and 43480 hauling the penultimate leg of the railtour, the 1Z43 1325 Barrow Hill South Jn. to Bradford Interchange through Hebden Bridge as the darkness begins to roll in.

It isn't often an HST runs through Hebden Bridge so it was nice to see the rare movement.

Nice toot from the driver too 😀

The HST was running behind 158756 on a Preston to York service and 150114 was on a Manchester Oxford Road to Leeds service.
