Construction has started on a brand new, state of the art station at Seaton on the in Devon.

Plans for the £2million tramway station will provide an all-year round facility for visitors with a small café and gift shop.

The new station will let more visitors use the station and enjoy the Axe Valley from a tram. Visitors have increased over recent years and this new station will replace the ticket office which was built in 1996.

The daily tram service will not be disrupted whilst the work takes place. The trams will run to timetable, and it gives the oppotunity to go behind the scenes of the tramway with a look in Riverside Depot.

Trams will start from Riverside Depot whilst the work is completed. For the visitors who still wish to begin from Seaton, there will be a shuttle service operating between the old Seaton Terminus and Riverside Depot, this shuttle will run between 18th September and 29th October, then throughout December until the opening of the new station on the 30th March 2018.

This will also include Special Events such as the Halloween ‘Tram of Terror' & the ‘Tramtastic Spooktacular', music events, as well The Polar Express™ Tram Ride 2017.
