This is the next part of my weekend at the 's annual Vintage Weekend, which was held over the 9-11th October 2015. This showcases how the Ffestiniog used to look in old days

The Video to accompany this post will be up very soon 🙂

What Did We See?

This part I visit different stations, apart from Porthmadog Harbour Station.

David Lloyd George at Porthmadog - Vintage Weekend 2015We start at Harbour Station, with (DLG for short) who took a vintage set and the boat to Blaenau Ffestiniog at 8:15 am.

Taliesin is also in Harbour Station, waiting to take the first freight train of the day.

We then travelled to Minffordd, followed by Penrhyn (Both will be shown on the upcoming video), the next stop is Tan-y-bwlch, which we see DLG taking on water.

At Tan-y-bwlch, the boat is disconnected from the train, this is because it will make its descent to Harbour Station from here later.

Now that David Lloyd George has arrived at Blaenau Ffestiniog, I travelled back to Tan-y-bwlch. Taliesin is being put into the siding so that Prince can arrive.

DLG now arrives at Tan-y-bwlch with the vintage we followed up to Blaenau Ffestiniog earlier. Once DLG has departed, Prince moved into the down platform to let and Blanche in with the Up service train to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Whilst departing, Linda and Blanche made a slippery exit from the station, but that is for the video.

I now travel back to Harbour Station for lunch and a look around.

is waiting for departure on to the Welsh Highland Railway.

Taliesin is now back at Harbour Station, and has now got the duty of pulling a vintage train, this is going to Tan-y-bwlch and back. is awaiting its next duty in the siding next to Taliesin.

Palmerston now moves up towards the points and waits for Linda and Blanche to arrive back from Blaenau Ffestiniog.

The penultimate departure was DLG taking the second slate train to Dduallt of the day. The loco previously ran light engine from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog, something that happens rarely.
