The Old Firm derby between Celtic and Rangers will be played out once more, this time in the final of the Cup at Hampden Park this coming Saturday 25 May.

With kick-off at 3pm, has announced that extra seats and trains will be running before and after the cup final. Trains will run from to Mount Florida and Glasgow Central to to take supporters of both teams to and from the match.

As expected, passengers travelling to the game are reminded to allow extra time for the planning and duration of their journeys because of the volume of people attending the game.

Queuing systems will be in operation at Glasgow Central as fans head out of Scotland's largest city, while after final whistle queuing systems will be in place at both Mount Florida and Kings Park stations, this is to ensure the trains don't become too overcrowded.

There is great rivalry between these two clubs, which has once again been highlighted recently with Celtics win of the Scottish Premiership last weekend.

Fans travelling in support of Celtic will queue for trains, on the concourse at Glasgow Central, their trains will be bound for Kings Park.

While Rangers fans leaving the same station in Glasgow will be told to queue on the carriage driveway on Hope Street and board trains heading for Mount Florida.

Once the crowds disperse after the final whistle, Celtic fans will head back to the station at Kings Park, while Rangers fans will return to Mount Florida, to board their respective trains back to Glasgow.

ScotRail are also reminding supporters that are travelling from further afield, that engineering works are taking place on Saturday between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via .

A bus replacement service will be in operation and passengers travelling to the game who start and finish their journey along this line are reminded to allow extra time for their journeys and for queuing at Glasgow Central when heading out before the game.

To save time at ticket offices and ticket machines, fans are requested to buy their tickets in advance using the mTicket system on their mobile phone through the ScotRail app. This will not only save time it will mean the tickets will be kept on your phone.

Additional ScotRail staff will be in attendance along with the local Police force to ensure that everyone is safe and to enforce the law that carrying and drinking alcohol on any of ScotRail's premises on trains and platforms is strictly prohibited.
