Fly-through video takes a tour through Darlington station redevelopment

has released a that takes a virtual look around station in , showing what it will look like after its multi-million-pound redevelopment has been completed.

Included in the station's £140m transformation are two new platforms on the eastern side of the station, a new a footbridge, a new multi-storey car park with spaces for more than 650 cars, a transport interchange, and a gateway entrance with links to Central Park.

Because the layout of the station is being changed, some walking routes at the station have also changed, including the thoroughfare between Platform 1 and 4 Access to Platform 1 is now from the south end of the station buildings by Platforms 2 and 3.

Spearheading the station's redevelopment is a partnership , London North Eastern Railway Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen, Tees Valley Combined Authority, and Darlington Borough Council.

We're delighted to be able to share this virtual video commissioned by LNER which demonstrates how the project will give Darlington a station it can be proud of.

It's particularly fitting that the work being carried out to transform Darlington Station is due to complete towards the end of 2025, when a nationwide celebration is taking place to mark 200 years since the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in 1825 – a journey that truly changed the world.
