West Yorkshire rail line set to be closed until June after landslip

A rail replacement service will continue to be in operation to keep passengers on the move

Engineers have restarted work on the landslip at in after “complex issues” were found on site.

Work is well underway to allow trains to resume between and .

However, the amount of work that is required means that the line isn't due to reopen until the end of June 2024.

A rail replacement service will be in operation, as it has done since the start of the closure, and passengers are advised to check with before travelling.

“I want to thank passengers and the community for their ongoing patience, and can assure them that work is now well under way towards getting the line reopened as quickly and safely as possible.”
