Passengers travelling from to on Saturday 6th April, for the derby Championship match are being advised to allow extra time to travel to the game as ASLEF industrial action will be taking place.

Greater Anglia knows the significance and importance of this historical rivalry, which has produced many memorable moments in the past.

Being aware of this, they will be running additional trains to take people to and from Norwich to watch the match.

There will be one additional service train before the match, which will leave Ipswich at 10:50, calling at at 11:02 and arriving in Norwich at 11:35. This will be the last train to arrive before the match kicks off at 12:30.

Ipswich Town fans are warned that the following train the 11:06 to Norwich will be cancelled as a result of the industrial action.

After the match, two additional services will run to take people back to Ipswich, the 15:09 from Norwich calling at Stowmarket at 15:34 and arriving at Ipswich at 15:46. The other train will be the 15:24 from Norwich, calling at Stowmarket at 15:53 and arriving at Ipswich at 16:05.

With the strike taking place later this week, both sets of fans are being strongly advised to check their services before they travel to the game, as Greater Anglia services could be amended or cancelled at short notice.

Passengers are requested to travel early on in the day and to make sure they arrive in Norwich in good time to make their way to Carrow Road.

Of the services that do run, they are likely to be extremely busy, especially those after the game.

Fans are reminded that it might be beneficial to delay their journeys back to ensure that trains are less crowded with more seats available.

Industrial action will be taking place right across the Greater Anglia network, because of this there will be no extra services running elsewhere on the region to take passengers to the game, this will affect those who are intending to travel on the Line, who unfortunately won't be able to benefit from additional trains to the game on this occasion.

Times and fares for train services can be found at www.greateranglia.co.uk, with the additional advice that customers should check the status of their train services nearer the date and time of travel.

We've worked closely with both football clubs and the , and people are advised to check before they travel and travel earlier or later if they can. We will run as many services as we can, given the action short of a strike, with a plan that is intended to ensure everyone has a safe and smooth journey. To save time and beat the queues, passengers are advised to buy tickets online or via the Greater Anglia app before they travel. Groups of three or more people can save a third on fares with GroupSave. We would ask everyone to be patient while boarding, as we are expecting much higher than usual passenger numbers on some of the services before and after the game.”
