Two new food and drinks outlets at East Croydon station have been welcomed by operator, Govia Thameslink Railway.
The Carriage, a coffee and pastries chain, is now open and is serving passengers on platforms 5 and 6.
Businesswoman Ayse Mevlit, runs The Carriage and now operates at three stations on the Southern network, with plans for a fourth in 2024.
On the Northern footbridge, passengers will find hot drinks and spicy snacks at Tasty Bites. This outlet is now trading in a unit that has been empty since the first COVID lockdown in 2020.
Dan Tyson, who operates Tasty Bites, has operated Coffee by Dave, the outlet next to Tasty Bites, for two years.
GTR has around 450 retail units at its stations and has tenancy agreements with 60 businesses in progress
