The Steam Railway has announced that they will be welcoming the 's ‘Mogul' No. 9351.

This latest announcement brings the total number of locomotives to eight for the Western Workhorses gala.

Taking place between the 25th and 27th May 2024, the gala will be the first time three ‘new builds' will appear at a heritage gala.

The new builds are WSR Mogul No. 9351, GWR ‘Saint' No. 2999 ‘Lady of Legend' and GWR ‘Grange' No. 6880 ‘Betton Grange'.

The visiting engines will join 2807, 7820 ‘Dinmore Manor', 7903 ‘Foremarke Hall' and 35006 ‘Peninsular & Oriental S N Co' at the gala.

An intensive timetable will be in operation throughout the weekend with goods trains, stopping trains and non stop express trains.
