Southeastern has announced its timetable which will come into effect from the 2nd June 2024.
The new timetable will mean changes to train times for passengers across South East London, Kent and East Sussex.
Southeastern says that it has updated its timetable each day to improve the spacing between services, improving punctuality and adding more carriages for the busiest routes.
125 million journeys were made using Southeastern services last year, with the busiest days now seeing more than 500,000 journeys day made across the network.
Timetable Changes
Southeastern Metro Services:
- Better spread of trains between Abbey Wood and Dartford for connections with the Elizabeth Line
- Four trains an hour all day to and from Albany Park
- Better spacing of trains on the Greenwich and Woolwich lines to London Bridge
- Late evening Saturday services on the Bexleyheath Line will now run from Charing Cross now Cannon Street
- Services between London Victoria and Dartford will extend to Gravesend, calling at Greenhithe
- More evening peak services to Bromley North
Southeastern Main Line
- Two extra evening peak services from Charing Cross to Ashford International via Maidstone East
- One Main Line service an hour will call at Thanet Parkway – doubling the off-peak frequency
- Medway Valley services retimed to improve connections at Paddock Wood and Strood
- Three extra weekday services from Tunbridge Wells to Charing Cross between 09:00 and 10:30
- Extra Saturday morning service between Tunbridge Wells and Charing Cross
- Additional late night weekend services to support Dreamland and Margate's Spring and Summer activities
Southeastern HighSpeed
- Until the 8th September, some trains to and from the coast will be longer to provide more space
- Some departure times changed slightly
- No material changes to stopping patterns / service frequencies.

Southeastern is advising passengers that between the 1st June and 11th August, Blackheath Tunnel between Blackheath and Charlton will be closed to allow a £10m project to begin on the tunnel.
During the closure, Dartford to Cannon Street services via Charlton will run via Greenwich for the Docklands Light Railway, with additional stops at Westcombe Park, Maze Hill, Greenwich and Deptford.

“This open approach to building a better, more reliable, and sustainable railway has seen the number of customers travelling with us continuing to increase – with some weekdays seeing over half a million journeys across our network, alongside a 9% increase year on year.
“We also know our timetable is our promise to our customers. The changes we will make this year are all aimed at providing more consistent and repeatable departure times, increasing capacity where it is needed while also continuing to provide a reliable, low-cancellation railway.
