Continuing work on the Transpennine Route Upgrade will affect train services between Huddersfield and Leeds between this Saturday, 17 and the following Sunday, 25 February.
From Monday, 19 to Friday, 23 February, engineers will carry out track drainage and cabling work in the Morley area, and replace and upgrade telecommunications networks to prepare them for future signalling improvements.
Further work will also take place in Huddersfield both this weekend, Saturday/Sunday 17/18 February and next weekend 24/25 February.
To enable this essential work to be carried out whilst also keeping train services running, some trains will be diverted via different routes, but others will be replaced by buses.

The work will bring a better railway service for the new Morley station and at other locations in the Dewsbury and Batley area, along with wider benefits across the entire Transpennine Route.
Once complete, the Transpennine Route Upgrade will create a cleaner, greener, and more reliable railway with improved connectivity between Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and York.

Chris Nutton, Major Projects Director at TransPennine Express, said: “The work around Morley and Dewsbury is essential for the delivery of more reliable services for our customers, as well as the delivery of the upgraded Morley station.
“We will be running an amended timetable on our North route while these improvement works are being carried out, diverting trains between Huddersfield and Leeds. Rail replacement buses will also be in place to keep customers on the move for more local journeys. We'd like to advise customers to check before they travel.”
