Severn Valley Railway Unveils Dining Experience & Gin Trains

The (SVR) has recently unveiled its dining experience trains for the months of February and March.

Passengers now have the opportunity to embark on a culinary journey through picturesque landscapes, choosing from a selection of refined and fine dining options.

These unique dining experiences occur aboard SVR trains that traverse the stunning route between Kidderminster in Worcestershire and in Shropshire, offering passengers breathtaking views of the riverside scenery as they indulge in delectable meals.

On select dates, passengers can partake in the delightful tradition of afternoon tea within the elegant confines of the railway's elegant first-class carriages.

An array of savoury and sweet treats will be on offer to satisfy even the most discerning palates.

In an exciting partnership with the local family business, Paisley Flour of Bewdley, SVR is introducing an exclusive “Sunday Lunch Dining” experience. This special dining option will be available on Mothering Sunday and various other dates, promising a memorable mealtime for all.

For the year 2024, SVR is introducing a brand-new attraction, the “Gin Train.”

Set to run on selected dates throughout March; this unique experience invites travellers to savour a variety of gins in the company of experts from the Worcester-based Piston Gin Distillery.

Established by Mike Weatherill in 2017, the distillery draws inspiration from precision engineering and automotive themes, making it an ideal partner for SVR's innovative offerings.
