Railway to close as unexploded World War II bomb found in Plymouth

are urging people this afternoon not to travel beyond after an unexploded bomb was found in Plymouth.

Emergency services will close the railway from 2pm until 6pm today to remove the wartime bomb.

Those travelling to and are advised to avoid travelling beyond Plymouth and to delay their journey.

Passengers travelling from Cornwall are being advised to avoid travelling beyond .

Replacement transport is being affected to as the removal of the bomb is affecting the road network.

Passengers can use their tickets later today or up to and including Saturday 24th February.

  • This report gives the impression that the bomb was found on the railway. It was found in someone’s garden in Keyham which granted is not very far from the railway.
