The East Lancashire Railway has announced that Class 47 No. 47830 will be visiting them for their Summer Diesel Gala this June.
47830 ‘Beechings Legacy' will visit thanks to its owners, freight operating company Freightliner.
Whilst other details are still yet to be confirmed, the gala will take place on the 27th – 29th June 2024 and will see an intensive timetable in operation.
More visiting locomotives will be announced over the coming weeks.
Tickets start from £38 on the day but tickets have not yet been made available for purchase.
