  • I was hoping to see Tornado at the G.C. following its overhaul. Although the line is of a similar length to the Nene Valley, it is passed for 60mph running for high speed trials prior to a return to the main line. Here’s hoping anyway!

    • Tornado was being rebuilt at Loughborough. It’s good to see she has a new boiler certificate and is ship shape ready for work again. I’m not sure whether the A1 trust are also based there. Not sure where she’s kept during Railtours though, that could be dependent on route and destination. She may be either left at Loughborough until closer to the time before travelling to the NVR ahead of her first public event.
