Staffordshire narrow-gauge railway looks ahead to next Christmas

Although it's only January, the near Tamworth in is already looking forward to next by opening bookings for this year's Magical .

Running on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 23 November, then Friday to Sunday from 29 November to 15 December, and every day from Tuesday 17 to Monday 23 December Statfold's Magical Santa Express promises to be a memorable festive day out for the whole family.

Enchanting journeys begin by boarding a beautifully lit train to see Santa himself, before experiencing many more magical adventures.Children who have been good can visit the Toy Shop where they can choose a special gift from Santa, but only if they're on his nice list!

Tickets cost from £12 each, which includes a gift for each child, and visitors can save pounds if they quote the code SANTASAVER24 when booking their tickets, which can be done by booking here.

Statfold Barn holds many special events throughout the year, with the first one being STATBUS at Night on 18 February when in partnership with the Transport Museum at Wythall a large collection of restored, vintage and modern buses and coaches will be brought together for the ultimate collaboration between steam and bus.

Saturday, 16 and Sunday 17 March is the first enthusiast event of the year with the Spectacle of Steam where Statfold Country Parks' collection of locomotives can be seen in action.

Two weeks later, Friday 29 March to Sunday, 1 April is the Easter Eggspress which promises an eggcellent adventure with the whole family, the chance to meet and greet the Easter Bunny, ride on the railway, play in soft play, and explore the trail in the museum.
