has released an update regarding The Settle & Carlisle Winter Express, set to take place on the 24th February 2024.

Because of revocation of the exemption for West Coast Railways and Mk1 stock (which do not have Central Door Locking), the stock for the tour will now be coaches from Riviera Trains and will be blue and grey in livery, rather than the maroon of WCRC.

This isnt the first time blue and grey coaches have been used on a steam railtour, sister loco, 34092 City of Wells, used Blue and Grey stock when hauling tours over the S&C four decades ago.

The locomotive to haul the train will be 34067 Tangmere from , with timings yet to be announced.
