(NET) is now offering annual season ticket holders tremendous savings on the price of their tickets, with unlimited tram travel throughout the year now available for less than the price of a cup of coffee each day.

Until the end of this month, the price of an annual adult season ticket has been reduced by one third, with the normal price of £675 reduced to a price of £450 for tickets purchased until midnight on Wednesday, 31 January.

In addition to benefitting from the reduced ticket prices, all annual season ticket holders are also allowed to park for free at NET's seven Park and Ride sites, including those at The Forest, South, , and Wilkinson Street, which all provide with a more sustainable and convenient way to travel in and around Nottingham.

Discounted season tickets can be purchased at the NET Travel Centre, or online through the NETGO! App or through the NET website. Anyone travelling on Nottingham's trams should be aware that NET operates a ‘Buy before you Board' policy, that requires tram users to purchase a ticket before they board a tram, or be liable for a £70 penalty fare that if it is not paid could result in a £1,000 fine and a criminal record.

From next Monday, 8 January, all ticket prices on Nottingham's trams will increase, with adult single tickets rising to £3.20 and an adult day ticket going up to £5.30. Further information about all NET tickets can be found at https://www.thetram.net/tickets.

Alison Sweeney, head of marketing at NET said: “The festive period is often the most expensive time of the year for many, and coupled with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, there are many across the city who are feeling the pinch more than ever right now.

“Our new January offer will mean the thousands of tram users who rely on our network to travel for work, days out and more, will be able to do so for much less, allowing them to put those extra funds to good use elsewhere.”
