The Model Railway Society are holding their annual Christmas Model Railway Exhibition this weekend (9th and 10th December 2023).

The exhibition promises to be a treat for all the family, with 24 layouts attending for the weekend as well as a bunch of traders.

Based at the Sugden Sports Centre in Manchester City Centre with excellent transport links, the exhibition will see layouts from Z to Os.

The exhibition is open from 09:45 until 17:30 on Saturday, and 09:45 until 16:30 on Sunday.

We are pleased to say that RailAdvent will be attending this model railway exhibition with bunch of Christmas gifts and some special offers on our products. Please come to stand B9 and say hello as we love meeting our readers!

Exhibition Coordinator, Philip Sweet, said: “Last year's exhibition was very well received by our visitors, and we are working hard to improve still further. There are some very unusual layouts appearing this year, including one for the adult visitors to operate. We always have activities and attractions for children, but why should they have all the fun!

The exhibition is the first time that our brand new, long awaited, P4 layout, Slattocks Junction will be shown at a major exhibition. The MMRS has a long tradition of quality and innovation, and Slattocks Junction carries that tradition forward, with superb laser cut buildings, 3D printed components. and, probably a first on model railways, moving clouds and weather effects.
