East Lancashire Railway invites lovers to Valentine’s dining experience

East Railway (ELR) is inviting romantic railway enthusiasts to book a date on its Valentine's Night luxury dining experience.

The Railway promises “an elegant evening for couples to raise a toast to each other”, as its experience in a pullman-style carriage, with luxurious seating and polished panelling. The steam-hauled carriage will provide a romantic and atmospheric journey as it travels through Irwell Valley along ELR's twelve miles of track.

A live music reception will welcome guests, who will be attended by a personal waiter or waitress for the evening, serving everything from the prosecco welcome to after-dinner chocolates. Guests will be served a four-course, silver-served meal, with all dietary requirements being catered for.

The journey will last just under three hours, with boarding commencing at 6.45pm and guests will return to Bury Bolton Street Station at approximately 10.15pm. The service will run on 16 and 17  February, and tickets cost £79 per person (over-16s only). More information and tickets can be found here.
